“New Era Socialism with Chinese Features 新时代中国特色社会主义思想” is heard and seen in the media in China almost everyday.
What does “New Era Socialism with Chinese Features” mean or as a political thought what is its scientific, philosophical and Marxist grounding?
Under the GUTUL framework, that is, Table 9-2,
(1) “New Era” refers to “new era scientific ‘consciousness or knowledge of xxx being as itself’” and, in this context, NESCF seeks the technological and capitalistic goal of “efficiency.”
(2) “Socialism” refers to “our consciousness of xxx being in itself” and understands the dialectical nature of human beings that includes, (A) “the struggle of the opposites” in the form of “before versus after,” “something versus nothing,” “true versus false,” “self versus other,” “like versus dislike,” etc. which arise from our asymmetrical or dualistic heart and (B) “the unity of the opposites” in the form of empathy and sympathy which arise from our symmetrical or non-dualistic heart, and, in this context, NESCF seeks to achieve the communist goal of “equality” and the socialist (the European socialist) goal of “security and dignity.”
(3) “Chinese Features” refers to “xxx being in itself” which is the symmetrical nature of the Universe and human beings and, in this context, NESCF seeks to achieve the goal of “inclusivity and harmony” or “the middle way” which is the essence of Chinese culture and traditions, including Buddhism, Confucianism and Daoism.
In summary, NESCF is a political thought that seeks to achieve efficiency, equality, security (and dignity) and inclusivity (and harmony) in the human society.
