Religions in their present form have been of great help and done much good to individuals, particularly when they feel helpless and hopeless. But, religions have also done much harm to humanity as a whole. Often, religions have been the excuses for and causes of human conflicts and tragedies.
There is nothing wrong with being religious when being religious simply means being moral, empathetic, sympathetic and non-dualistic, which is the core teaching of all religions. It is in this context that Einstein said he was deeply religious.
When any religion makes additional claims in uniqueness, superiority or exclusivity, it runs directly against the symmetrical and non-dualistic nature of the Universe – and against the symmetrical and non-dualistic nature of human beings.
Human beings’ symmetrical and non-dualistic nature is manifested in our empathetic/righteous and sympathetic/benevolent/kind/loving thoughts and deeds.
We should be deeply religious but, at the same time, we should also be deeply rigorous about facts and reality, as opposed to blindly believing in myths and dogmas.
Here, we propose and promote a new kind of religion, the Einstein kind of religion, that is grounded on the universal, symmetrical, non-dualistic, reciprocal and, hence, inclusive nature of human beings.
This “New Era Religion” is not intended to replace or reject any traditional religions. It is instead and indeed intended to strengthen and solidify their scientific, rational and philosophical groundings.
For example, a “universal and unifying trinity” of (1) the Christian “Ghost the Holy Spirit, God the Holy Father, and Christ the Holy Son,” (2) the Buddhist “Zhen Ru (i.e. Truth Such), Ru Lai (i.e. Cometh Such), and Pu Sa (i.e. Bodhisattva), and (3) the Daoist “Da Dao, Dao and Shen Xian (i.e. the Immortal)” will all be clearly (i.e. unmistakably), cleanly (i.e. unambiguously), coherently and cohesively defined and explained in the “New Era Religion” – solely based on physics and philosophy.
In the context of this New Era Religion, the Bible, Buddhist Sutras, Laozi’s Daodejing and Hindi Upanishad – amongst many other religious scriptures – can all be understood clearly and cohesively without myths or dogmas as they are now solidly grounded on facts and reality.
Just as Einstein said, “This is somewhat a new kind of religion.”
We call it the “New Era Religion” as in its scientific and philosophical core, it is not only consistent with, but also supportive of Buddhism, Daoism (i.e. Taoism), Deism (i.e. Theism or Monotheism), Hinduism and other religions.
