People use the terms “knowledge” and “wisdom” loosely, ambiguously and mistakably. That is really very bad and very unfortunate. In fact, humanity is doomed if human continues to misunderstand and misuse the terms, “knowledge” and “wisdom,” and does not make a clear distinction between them.
GUTUL says clearly (i.e. unmistakably) and cleanly (i.e unambiguously) that knowledge is “our consciousness of xxx being as itself” and wisdom is “xxx being in itself.”
Knowledge is consciousness and is material (or substance) and IS the result of or the outcome of our asymmetry, duality (Fen Bie Xin 分别心) or differentiating or discriminating heart; wisdom is natural (or property) and IS our symmetry, non-duality (Wu Fen Bie Shi 无分别识) or non-differentiating or indiscriminating heart.
Knowledge is material (or substance) and is the outcome of asymmetry or duality.
Wisdom is natural (or property) and is symmetry or non-duality – and is the nature of the Universe and is God, Buddha, Brahman and Dao – none of them shall have a monopoly on the nature of the Universe or the Ultimate Truth.
