GUTUL says “substance being as itself” is particles, “space being as itself” is boson or force fields, “substance being in itself” is change or change in form, “space being in itself” is no change or no change in nature, and “the Universe being in itself” or “Nature” is change and no change or change in form and no change in nature – which is mathematically, physically and philosophically known as the nature of “symmetry.”
But, “our consciousness of substance being (i.e. our consciousness of substance being as itself)” is “something (you 有)”, “our consciousness of space being (i.e. our consciousness of space being as itself)” is “nothing (wu 无)”, and “our consciousness of the Universe being (i.e. our consciousness of the Universe being as itself)” is “something versus nothing (you wu 有无)” which comes from our “differentiating or discriminating heart” or simply “asymmetry and duality (i.e. Fen Bie Xin 分别心 in Chinese).”
“Our consciousness of xxx being or our consciousness of xxx being as itself (when xxx is not substance or space)” is “everything (wan wu 万物).” People, almost all Daoist scholars in East and West, say that “wan wu万物” in Laozi’s Daodejing 《道德经》 is “ten thousand physical beings.” GUTUL clearly disagrees with such an interpretation and translation.
While “our consciousness of substance being (as itself)” is “something (you有),”
“substance being in itself” is “something-ness (chang you 常有).”
While “our consciousness of space being (as itself)” is “nothing (wu无),”
“space being in itself” is “nothingness (chang wu 常无).”
While “our consciousness of xxx being (as itself)” is “everything (wan wu 万物),”
“our consciousness of xxx being in itself” is largely “asymmetry” or “Dao ke dao (道可道)”
and “xxx being in itself” is always “symmetry” or “Chang Dao (常道).”
And, “xxx being” is “Chang Ming (常名).”
